Introduction
The Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment (CISA) Network is a collaborative effort between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and 7 clincal centers in the United States. The primary goals of the network are to improve the scientific understanding of vaccine safety issues through research and to serve as a source of clincal expertise in the evaluation of adverse events following immunization.

- Mitochondrial Disorders Risk Factor Study
- Adverse events (including Guillian Barre Syndrome) following the novel H1N1 vaccine.
Clinical Consults
A clinician is available to consult with physicians and other medical care providers who have questions about vaccine safety, have a patient with an unexpected or serious adverse event, or who have other questions about immunization.
