process

Each member of the Vaccine Safety Initiative brings a distinct scientific, clinical or methodological perspective, as well as experience from different healthcare systems and regions of the world. VIVI projects and initiatives are developed collaboratively through regular Think Tank meetings. Members are encouraged to propose new research projects and manuscript ideas and to contribute to ongoing work between meetings.

This interdisciplinary approach allows us to examine complex questions from multiple perspectives, identify gaps that may otherwise be overlooked, and develop solutions that are both scientifically rigorous and relevant to real-world practice. Since VIVI began, this collaborative model has supported a growing body of research, tools, publications and international partnerships.

We use user-centered design, rapid prototyping and iterative development to translate identified needs into practical tools and solutions. Our approach combines methods from design thinking with implementation research, validation and evaluation in real-world settings.

Emerging concepts are critically appraised and, where appropriate, subjected to systematic scientific evaluation and peer review. The perspectives and experiences of the people who will ultimately use our tools remain central throughout the development process.
